A design and English literature enthusiast. I believe that good teaching not only comes from understanding your subject deeply but also from incessant admiration for what it has to offer. Design is considered as something reserved for 'creative minds' but contrary to the belief, it is actually something very natural and logical. Good design is about understanding the needs of the final user, almost as much as good lessons are about understanding needs of one's students. While teaching, I aim to follow a lesson plan that the students develop an interest in the topics, and are open to exploring various possibilities there may be. Understanding of a topic must be followed by practical usage of it.

Experience

  • Designer (Oct, 2021–May, 2023) at Rainush
    Worked as the in-house designer and consultant for clients, aiding them in envisioning the garments they wanted. Mentored NIFT 3rd year students during their Graduation Project and helped them create Design collections. Styled for fashion shows of the brand at Bangalore Fashion Week.
  • Design Educator and Portfolio Project Mentor (Aug, 2021–Sep, 2023) at Ignite India Education
    During my term at the design coaching institute, I taught students basics of design, research and nuances of fashion industry. Apart from that I conducted guest lectures and seminars for NIFT textile department students online and at our institute. Guided and mentored 100+ students ideate and execute design projects - graphic to fashion, for various prestigious colleges and universities in India and Abroad.

    For beginner to intermediate lessons I charge 500-800. For expert level it may go up to 1200
