A student friendly English teacher, I have years of experience in tutoring learners with varied levels of English proficiency. I have taught students from grade 8 onwards and can ensure improved scores and success in English for various Indian board exams. My strengths lie in helping students master challenging texts like Shakespearean plays, Elizabethan sonnets and modern short stories and poems. My teaching approach consists in simplifying the complex literary concepts and helping the learners better appreciate the texts and write better answers in exams.
Additionally I mentor intermediate learners, both at school and college level, helping them develop better spoken and written communication skills. I have been teaching
students various aspects of English grammar and composition, and guiding them in directed writing topics like comprehension, emails, film and book reviews, report writing etc. I also provide help in overcoming shortcomings in grammar, structure and usage, enabling students to improve their composition and communicative abilities.
Apart from this, I have experience with teaching and helping with IBDP Theory of Knowledge essays and can assist students who are struggling with this component of IB studies.

My commitment to my students extends beyond the duration of the online classes and I provide regular and continuous feedback and assistance with submitted assignments and homework. I provide an enriching learning experience in my classes where my students improve their skills and grow in confidence becoming better learners.
