Understanding your students strengths and weaknesses is the best approach to a learner. We have different types of Leaners; there those who want to see more, some want to hear more, some need the teacher to just guide them then they do the rest (they read and write without the teacher).
Those who want to see more you must spend enough time with them, give them more examples.
Those who want to hear more, as a teacher you have to explain and simplify the content.
The ones who need you guidance, you teach them by giving few examples, assignment and start the next class by seeing whether they have understood what you are doing.
As a teacher you must to do assessment of your Lerner's both continuous and randomly.
Continuous help the learners to prepare for the final examination while random is to ease tension that comes with examination.
