Hello, I'm Divya Naveen Prasad,

I hold a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam, Yoga and Engineering. I also bring extensive expertise in Nattuvangam, contributing to the rhythmic precision and musicality of Bharatanatyam performances. Teaching has become my passion over the last 13 years, where I seamlessly blend technical expertise with the profound cultural essence of Bharatanatyam.

In my teaching methodology, I seamlessly blend tradition and innovation to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Bharatanatyam. With a friendly and approachable, I foster open communication, encouraging questions and creative exploration.

For beginners, I focus on building a strong technical foundation, gradually progressing to more complex choreography and emotive expressions. Advanced levels involve challenging compositions and nuanced storytelling, ensuring a well-rounded development.

I extend specialized training for those who are in Advanced level, refining their stage presence, expressiveness, and individual style within the Bharatanatyam framework. My goal is to instill a deep appreciation for both the technical and artistic dimensions of this classical dance form at every stage of learning.

My journey in Bharatanatyam began at the tender age of 5, guided by the wisdom of my esteemed Gurus. I immersed myself in both Pandanallur and Kalakshetra styles, shaping a dance identity that echoes grace and diversity. In 2014, my husband, Shri K. Naveen Prasad, and I founded the Thrinethralaya Music and Dance Academy(@thrinethralaya) in Chromepet— a commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Bharatanatyam and Music.

My disciples have graced esteemed platforms, including Guinness World Record Bharatanatyam programs, showcasing their prowess in captivating salangai poojas, arangetrams, solo recitals, tv programmes, abroad shows,making their mark in various dance competitions.

Awards and Titles adorn my journey, including "Nritya Kala Vibhushan," "Narthana Sudaroli," "Natya Selvi,", "Nadana Arasi" and many more. In 2018, I received the coveted "Best Bharathanatyam Artist" award from the United Artist of India at the Cine and Television Awards, recognizing my exceptional contributions to the art form. Special recognition from the International President of St. Vincent De Paul National Council of India and an award from the Chennai Flat Promoters Association further underscore my impact in the cultural sphere.

With dedication and artistic brilliance, I continue to be a beacon in the world of Bharatanatyam, inspiring generations with my passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to preserving this timeless art form.
