Math Tutor Duties and Responsibilities
Assess student's current math skills
Discuss the trouble area the student is having, either with a specific lesson or understanding a particular math concept
Develop lesson plans that enable the student to better grasp the math concept
Help students work through their homework and study for exams
Write progress reports for parents and student

Math Tutor Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Expert in different math disciplines
Experience working with students of various ages
Strong communication skills
Proficient in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Math tutors work one-on-one with students to help them understand and master the concepts behind various math topics. They may also assist students in preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT or GRE.

Math tutoring is a specialized field that requires knowledge of mathematics, patience, and strong communication skills. It’s important for math tutors to be able to explain difficult concepts in ways that are easy to understand. They must also have a deep understanding of the material they’re teaching so that they can answer any questions their students might have.
