I recently graduated as a mechanical engineer and I am fully aware of the things a student needs and excels in. The teaching style would be making the topic easy to understand by using relevant examples and mathematical relations to prove that concept. How changing one quantity can affect the system would be explained using formulas and relevant figures like pv and Ts diagrams in the case of thermodynamics.
