I never thought of being a teacher as trained Biomedical Engineer by education. Fortunately I served in the Education field during my National Service of which I developed the passion to help the young generation by teaching.
From hence I have always love to share knowledge by teaching any young one I meet and even as I write assist some students in Mathematics and English Language.
I do my best explaining the why to most of the topics and blend in the local language to give a better understanding since it is that which the student mostly understands.
With regards to Maths some might not make a meaning even after explaining so I ! mostly lay the steps and and then with eyes to see and a little understanding the student can be on the own with some questions
