I am a versatile teacher who prefers to use diverse methodologies when teaching in order to cater for the learner's very need at the time.l prefer to first look at the learner's strengths and weaknesses in the subject /topic in order to find and use the appropriate approach and methodology which will yield expected results.
As a teacher l believe learning is a negotiation between the learner and the teacher.Thus,in the whole process of negotiation it should be learner centered to trigger the learner's interest and to provoke him/her to be aware of his/her pace,effort and progress .
I believe teaching styles are fruitful if used carefully to compliment each other,the lecture method can only be fruitful if used with discussions,demonstrations and presentations.This is to say l vary teaching styles and methods according to the learner's needs.l also make sure to pay attention to the individual needs of learner's as this will produce a balance between slow and fast learners, the shy and outspoken learners.teaching and learning becomes interesting and productive where there is interaction and shared learning.
