When learning it's important to recognise how to solve a problem rather than memorise an answer to a specific problem which is what majority of students do. It is also important to understand that different students have different learning methods and to recognise and adapt to these differences is the tricky and also interesting part of being a teacher. I think I am a very patient teacher and embrace the fact that there is always multiple solutions to the same problem rather than force students to follow the methods that I use.
