Hello, I’m Ketty a native speaker from Cameroon. I am a TEFL certified English tutor and I have 5 years experience teaching English and 1 year as an online English tutor, i tutor both kids and adults. I am patient, kind and understanding and I love singing, creative writing and public speaking.
English is fast becoming the world’s most used language either for communication, travel, business, or education. Hence everyone needs to be fully equipped to meet up. Unfortunately, learning English especially as a non native speaker isn’t always easy especially if we lack the right motivation and self confidence. That is why in my class,I teach using the communicative language Teaching (CLT). This method emphasizes on interaction and communication as the main ways to learn English. To do this, I encourage my students to participate during lessons through role plays. This method also help students develop English listening, Reading and writing skills.Most importantly, it boosts students self confidence which has a positive effect on their communication skills.
I also prepare customized lesson plans that address the specific English learning needs of my students. To do this, I take into consideration students goals, level, age, preferred learning style and hobbies. This makes them feel comfortable and understood.
To enable my students practice on their own what was learnt, I give them home work especially if it is what they desire.
