My name is Yamkela Ndlovu, I am 20 years old and from Johannesburg,South Africa. I am currently Tefl certified and working towards my Education Degree. My top subjects in Matric were Dramatic Arts where I obtained a final mark of 91% and English First Additional Language. I got educated using the CAPS curriculum. I wrote and studied all my subjects in Afrikaans as it was the Home Language of the School I attended. I do have IEB experience as well.

I have experience in tutoring learners in Grade 1-12. I used to assist the learners with schoolwork by creating PowerPoints and summaries for them as well as additional worksheets for them to practice. I would also work through past papers with the learners and make sure they did lots of reading to increase their confidence in the language. I assisted with homework and test preparation mainly.

I love music, theatre, and the arts. I am kind, caring, and witty. I also love to read and have recently started yoga. I like taking walks and spending lots of time in nature.
I have an open and caring approach to teaching. I prefer making learners read to improve their reading, writing, and pronunciation skills. I have a more visual and playful teaching style. I want my students to have fun while learning so they enjoy their experience and become more open to learning even further. I can speak 5 of the 11 official South African languages, one of them being Afrikaans! I still want to learn other languages. I teach any age, gender, and race. Everyone is welcome in my classroom.

    I charge a minimum of R180 an hour. Rates may differ depending on distance and learner needs.
