I believe in going to the beginner's level to make the student understand the concept. Initially, the pre-requisites are to be covered before going to the problems at the advanced level. It is important because if the basic concepts are not clear, one cannot solve the problems.

I believe that a teacher is a learner. Every time, with each student, teacher learns a new method to make the students understand the concept. Thus, teaching is a learning process. When a teacher learns from the student, it makes a great bond between them.
