Punjabi is my mother tongue. I am involved in research and teaching of Punjabi language. As per the new education policy, regional languages are now being read and learned in a different way, taking seriously. I do not work to teach and teach Punjabi language only as a language. I try to teach Punjabi language through literature, tradition, culture. With this, the student does not just learn the language mechanically, but begins to learn and understand his culture and the language. I have been doing research work in Punjabi linguistics, literature and culture for the last four years. So I do my teaching job creatively.
