I often prefer interactive teaching with each student being fully engaged. Derivations from basic principles to fully developed formulae with students in tow ending with illustrative examples. Both class and home assignments always accompany new material. Real life problems are often targeted. The average student is often of concern and I don't fly away with the smart, fast understanding students. Notes are often given the students where necessary and references in easily available texts is given. The success of the average hard working student is assured rather than the success of all. In environments where laboratories are available I like accompanying students for hands on experience.
