Hi! I am Tunishah with 3 years of experience as a Special Needs Interventionist and 1 year+ as a private tutor for English and Maths to primary school students (and international Korean Adults). I love applying unconventional methods of teaching which believe maximise learning retention and promote a fun learning environment for the students. Learning should always involve 2 or more of our senses: Sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. That way, students can maintain interest, focus and enjoy the session.

The motto I believe as a tutor and ex-interventionist is: The form of learning should not be convenient for the tutors, but it should be experiential and understandable for the students to learn and apply in their daily routine!

    - Stakeholder Management: Led a team of 7 specialists for social media content and worked with parents, occupational and speech therapists to find accurate solutions and therapy methods for children with special needs.

    - Research & Data collection: Prepare and conducted interviews with parents on their knowledge regarding special needs and strategies to narrow the gap. Considerations for building mobile applications.

    - Plan & Application: Planned, executed and adapted teaching materials and therapies suitable for each case based on diagnosis and behaviour frequency data.

    - Project Management & Events: Presented CME for the team every 4 months, coordinated Sports Day for all WQ Park branches, providing factual content on Child Development for Social Media Marketing.

Fee details

    RM80–120/hour (US$17.98–26.97/hour)

    RM80 is covered with travel and materials provided for the students. Any additional materials requested by parents will be added as an extra. Hourly rate only varies when there are more students or severity of the teaching level.
