I'm a proffesional maths and Science tutor who has been helping students for over 2 years in excelling, and also in finding the most effective study methods that will help them in concept grasping and in improving their problem solving skills. My goal is to help a student reach their academic goals and to go beyond their academic potential. I use active recall study methods with my students in subjects like biology, instead of allowing them to conceptualize content passively. With Maths I encourage a lot of problem solving in order to get used to answering questions and applying certain formulas and to also to allow them to make algebric mistakes, which will help them in avoiding them in future accessments, this is mostly for students between grade 5 up to A level subjects,but with the younger students the idea is to get them to understand the concept and for it to be repeatetive so that it can be planted in there brains and so that can apply it in intermediate problems when presented. I believe that one of the traits that make me a great techer is that I can think outside the box and use several methods to explain a concept to a student depending on how they seem to process information, and that I believe in being patient with students and also learning their processing cycle to make it easier for me to explain concepts to them.
