A woman is treated and considered as invaluable and weaker part of society in both aspects physical and sociologically who as a mother, daughter, wife is a woman who is always depended on father in younger age then on husband when married and later life on son. Crimes against women are a social menace, and a costly public health problem. Crime against women is violence against human rights it is not an issue face by a woman. Observation is many women who are victim of crime live in mental pain, fear of life and death. Freedom of speech & expression, right to life, right to dignity etc. is still as provisions of law books and constitution. Status of women especially in Maharashtra, a state rich in its heritage and state of metropolitan city has high percentage of crime rate against women recorded each year.It is very difficult many a time to identify crimes women are facing in family, society, workplace, etc because few step forward and complain to police and magistrate but many blames themselves, families, society etc and crime, offence, harassment continues behind four walls of house or unnoticed till it results death or abetment of suicide of victim.
