Hello!
My name is Sam, a Nigerian. I am a highly qualified English teacher with a diverse range of interests and experiences. You can as well find me as your Phonics and Phonetics instructor.

I have been teaching English pronunciation, spellings and other elements of IPA (International Phonetics Alphabet) more than five years. During this time, I trained more than hundred students for their academic goals with an IPP ( International Phonetics and Phonology) certification

From my wealth of experience my students will find me a totally committed tutor who will help them get what they need.

I teach children and adults reading skills, spelling skills and pronunciation skills . This is what I do with passion. People may get certified as a professional tutor but without passion or strong interest they achieve nothing. But am both certified and passionate in teaching.

I use Phonics and Phonetics to lay a good foundation of spelling, pronunciation and reading skills

All my students are good in articulating British English IPA vowels and IPA consonants using the British English IPA Phonemic Chart. In addition, my students will be privileged to know other elements of IPA like syllabification, stress and Phonetics transcription which students of English must understand.

  • Teaching (Jan, 2019–Present) at Praise Scholars School Keffi Nasarawa State
    I teach phonics, the systematic way of teaching children and adults reading in English language using the English letters of alphabet. Nevertheless, since goals of reading skills in English language cannot be achieved with teaching phonics only, the use of Phonetics is introduced for spelling and pronunciation skills to ride on the limitations of phonics. Therefore, for a comprehensive skills in reading, spelling and pronunciation skills I use both phonics and Phonetics. Though the foundation of one leads to the other depending on the level or grade level.
