Every teacher is unique, and stands out of the crowd based on what they understand education to be. I believe education is beyond teaching the rudiments of teaching and writing, but enlightening the human mind to be creative in all facets of life. As a result of this understanding, I adopt very simple, but creative methods in my teaching of any subject. I like my learners being brought into the world and reality of what is being taught. Hence, I use a lot of Visual, and Auditory teaching aids. My learners get to use their eyes, ears, mind, and hands while learning. It makes the understanding of the subject matter remain with them. Over the years, I have groomed learners who came out with excellent grades at the external examinations.
Asides all of these, I believe a great teacher goes beyond the book, into the heart of the learner. My learners end up as my friends, so it makes me more than just a teacher, but a mother, a motivator, and someone always at their beck and call. I have been able to bring a lot of my learners out of depression and some personal issues over time
