As a person, I am kind, enthusiastic, determined, resilient and ambitious. As a teacher I always aim to be my best self, utilising my positive attributes while taking input from and listening to others who are more experienced. I have established a work ethic that enables me to approach situations with care, preparation and the professionalism required. As a graduate from Rhodes University who was previously educated at St Peter’s College in Johannesburg with 10 years’ experience in the teaching field, I believe I am equipped to teach children in the primary school age group as well as to coach a variety of sports. As I am passionate and have developed my competencies over this time, I always look to how the learner within the situation will benefit and grow. While always being committed to developing my core areas of interest within the field as well as supporting those in need of assistance, I am also willing to broaden my horizon. My desire is always to strive to be as successful a teacher as I can be within the classroom as well as on the sports field and in other spheres of education as ultimately, I want to be considered as a positive contributor to the education arena.
