Hello!

I strive to understand the world – how and why it works, and so forth – at the most fundamental level. That’s why I love Maths and Physics so much! For me, they explain so much of the workings our world, and make it so much more interesting. For me, then, tutoring Maths and Physics is a chance to help students grasp the concepts therein as fully as possible, gain a better understanding of the world and its workings, and to appreciate the power and beauty of the subjects and their applications.

I aim to build a solid foundation in my students. I spend the time to help students understand concepts more clearly and deeply, and to become competent in using the 'tools' of the subjects. I also pay attention to developing strong problem-solving skills and an appreciation for practical applications. To that end, I foster discussions with my students about material being covered, and try to have them think about, explore, and investigate, what they are learning.

I use tools like GeoGebra and online whiteboards extensively. I've used materials from diverse sources such as CK-12 Foundation, Siyavula and Khan Academy to provide learning materials, video resources, 'manipulatives', practice material, and so forth.

So then: do you wish to connect?
