Over 30 years of English teaching experience in one of the best schools in Asia. I teach through critical analysis of the text and enable students to enhance their skills in writing, and critical commentary by making them think for themselves. I simplify the text for my students and have great patience for their Q&As. I encourage independent working and support them in producing excellent assignments through confidence and perseverance

Teaching in a residential school has helped me in having a great rapport with my students. My classes are always full of great excitement as I thoroughly believe that literature is to be read for pleasure. I have specialised in teaching Shakespeare over the years and my results have always been excellent.

I can teach students from different backgrounds and can adapt to their ways of learning and greatly contribute in improving their comprehension, vocabulary and aural skills.

    Over 30 years of total work experience in the education sector with experience ranging from teaching to curriculum development to heading departments in the school, including extensive roles in pastoral
    administration.

    I have taught, over the years, the ICSE and ISC, the IB and now the IGCSE, across all grade
    levels. My own academic results have always been high and even at the time when
    streaming of sections was in vogue at The Doon School, my students used to have excellent
    results. The year I taught elective English my student scored the highest in the country.

    As Head of the English Department, it was necessary for me to maintain an objective stance in the
    largest academic Dept. in the school. I was required to appraise my colleagues and was able
    to advise the Headmasters over the years accurately. I was also required to interview
    potential teachers and confirm teachers after their probations.
