Hi! My name is Cyndi and I am a certified and a well-experienced Math teacher. I am very easy to approach when there is a question to ask especially in Math. Just like you, I also struggled in Math before but I have learned to love it and embraced my fears of numbers. As a teacher, I pay attention to what a student actually needs and make necessary adjustments for an efficient and meaningful learning experience. And I hope that I can share that with you.
I hold on to principles of law of readiness which means that foundations in Mathematics learning are very important that if you have it, regardless how difficult the lesson is, you will be able to cope with it and learn that lesson in time.
During my elementary days, Math was my waterloo, but when I reached high school, I learned to love the subject. When I took up my college degree in Mathematics, I discovered to many things about it, but when I started teaching it, that is when I realized that I have so much to learn. My skills and knowledge in Mathematics got so much deeper and global level I would say. Being exposed to various curriculum from DEPEd, to American Common Core Standards up to IB mathematics, DP and MYP, I have realized that Mathematics is for ALL and not only for those who are experts with it. Thus, I am a teacher who believes that Math may not be one of the favorites, but is obviously fundamental to everyone.
