Teaching approach according to me should be student-centered rather than teacher-centered. One should adjust their teaching strategies to their students and the learning process at hand. Teacher should be a demonstrator, who can go beyond lectures, showing presentation etc.
In fact while preparing course content, one should imagine which teaching style will help the student learn the material best.
He /She should encourage inquiry-based learning, in which students learn by asking questions and discussing real-world case studies .
In addition, teachers lead students and help students become future leaders .
