I can teach them!

I have worked in the computer industry for over 28 years, including at Google, YouTube, Adobe, and several Silicon Valley startups. I am a passionate and experienced tutor who has been teaching for over 10 years. I have a degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Brown University.

The programming skills your kid will learn in Roblox are transferable to other programming languages (such as Python or Javascript) they might want to learn. I can also teach these other languages. Roblox is also a fun way of moving beyond Scratch into a full programming language where you need to type your program and maintain multiple files.

Every student learns differently and I tailor my teaching style to each student's individual needs. I am patient and encouraging, and I always strive to help my students succeed. I am also a great listener, and I am always willing to answer questions and provide support.

I also worked in the Peace Corps in The Gambia as a volunteer high school computer teacher. In this role, I taught students how to program and also helped them develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. I am confident that my experience in the Peace Corps has made me a better tutor.

I specialize in helping students new to programming but I am happy to have intermediate or advanced students too. I have a proven track record of success in helping students of all ages and abilities learn these subjects. I am confident that I can help your child achieve success in programming. (I also teach teens and adults)

In addition to teaching Roblox, I can teach Python, Javascript, C/C++, and Arduino programming.
