I follow three steps to solve GMAT quant or math problems:

Step 1: Understand the Question Statement
Step 2: Define the Methodology
Step 3: Calculate the final answers.

Step 1 is properly important because most of the students do not understand the question statement. They jump into solving the answer. In that case, most of them choose the wrong answer or strike in the middle of the question-solving process. To avoid it, you have to follow step 1.

After properly understanding the question statement, you have to choose what method or formula is suitable for the problem to be solved.

And then the final step, step 3, calculates the final answer. Silly or simple mistakes in the step 3 process overcome this type of mistake. The only way is to practise more to avoid that type of mistake.

Why am I choosing a three-step process to solve every quantitative question?

It takes less time to solve with a high accuracy ratio.
