I am Dr. Sohan Lal, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the prestigious National Institute of Technology in Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. With a strong background in physics and a Ph.D. in Materials Science, I have a passion for research and a keen interest in teaching. I am proficient in English and Hindi, which allows me to communicate with a diverse range of students effectively.
I have qualified NET and GATE exams, the most prestigious exams in India, which a person is required to qualify if he wants to teach in any university or college.
I am also an experienced educator. I have been working as a Temporary Faculty in the Department of Physics at NIT Kurukshetra since August 2017. Prior to that, I served as an Assistant Professor in the School of Material Science and Nanotechnology at NIT Kurukshetra from August 2016 to July 2017. I have also taught as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at GNIT Mulana, India, from August 2015 to June 2016 and in the Applied Science Department at JMIT Radaur from August 2014 to August 2015. These teaching experiences have allowed me to hone my pedagogical skills and develop a deep understanding of the subject matter.
As a researcher, I have published 14 papers in reputed journals and have presented my research findings in 6 conference proceedings. My work has garnered recognition, with an h-index of 5 according to Google Scholar and 4 according to the Scopus database.
In terms of research experience, I have worked as a Senior Research Fellow from April 2012 to June 2014 and as a Junior Research Fellow from June 2009 to March 2012 in the Department of Physics at NIT Kurukshetra. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in experimental techniques and scientific methodologies.
My expertise extends to a wide range of experimental skills and techniques. I have hands-on experience in the synthesis of materials, both in bulk and nanoforms, utilizing combustion and hydrothermal routes. I am well-versed in the synthesis of polymeric materials and composites, including porous nanostructure cathode materials for rechargeable batteries and transition metal oxide nanocomposites. I am proficient in various characterization techniques.
