I am a qualified teacher specialized in British(Edexcel) and Kenyan curriculum (8.4.4) currently teaching mathematics and integrated science in upper primary level. Apart from Mathematics and integrated science, I can comfortably teach Geography in same levels. I concentrate on the upper primary school level with ten years of teaching experience from year 6,7 and 8.

Being a qualified teacher who has undertaken a primary teacher education training (P1) option A which covered Mathematics and science, I felt the necessity of increasing my knowledge and professional skills further and took the decision of pursuing degree in education in Kiswahili and geography. This improved my teaching approach and tactics on how to handle the students in class better.
Additionally, I possess outstanding communication and inter-personal skills which makes me an active team member who effectively collaborates with all levels of staff members and establishes quality relationships with students and parents.
The nature of my work in education has prepared me to be a competent and reliable teacher who improves the grades of the students. I have been recruited by my current employer to handle and concentrate in teaching Mathematics and Integrated science . As part of this, I normally liaise with the head of departments for those subjects.
I have developed several skills in handling complex and challenging situations to achieve desired results as well as handle students from different levels when my input is required for instance clubs, weekly activities presented by students from their respective houses and outdoor activities like sports including educational camping and trips.
In addition to that, I have successfully employed a student centered approach when teaching and found that this led to several positive outcomes. Among them, students have managed to attain “A” grades. This has made me realize that the key part of my career is to ensure students are able to reach to their potential and prepare the future leaders.
