I am Monika,an actor, theatre practitioner and facilitator based In Mumbai/Delhi. I have completed my Acting and Theatre making course from Drama School Mumbai. I started doing theatre ten years ago with Parvatiya Kala Kendra repertory after that performed in a variety of plays like "Mansukh" directed by Sameep Singh, "Vivekananda Amratav Ki" aur directed by Amit Saxena to name a few and have performed more than 50 shows till date. Additionally, I have worked with Gateways to Theatre Company as an assistant director and acting coach for five years. I have trained myself In different dance forms like Ballet, Chhau and Jazz not to become dancer but to become more malleable as an actor.
My entry point to collect raw material is my body, impulse, music, pictures and improvisation. After that I apply tools and techniques to give it a form and make It performative for others to see.
I believe that tools that we are given our body, voice, senses are superpower, if we train them right. My teachers taught me that by keeping your tools sharp you become available for life and art.

    I have experience of working with students ranging from kindergarten to the 12th grade. Additionally, I have made significant contributions to the company by directing numerous musical plays for their annual functions and providing acting coaching to the participants.

    I joined parvatiya kala kendra repertory In 2014 as an actor. I have performed over 20 commercial musical shows with them like " Gata giri aancha", Vivekanad amratav ki aur, bhagwa bhayo sansaar to name a few. I have worked with them for 5 years.
