Working as a Data Analyst for GBS(Global Banking School) which is a Higher Education Services Provider based out of U.K. having 9 campuses in U.K. itself as well as having a campus each in Dubai and Malta. GBS collaborates with multiple renowned universities in the UK like Leeds Trinity University, Bathspa University, Canterburry Christ Church University etc. to provide higher education opportunities to students. More than 20,000 students are enrolled with GBS in UK itself.
Leveraging SQL, Advanced SQL, Excel, and Power BI skills to contribute to the growth of the organization.
Below is the brief summary of the daily tasks :
• Understanding different source systems like Thesis(Student Data), Unit-4(Finance and HCM data), Event Map(Student Attendance Information), and Moodle(Student Assessment Data) and how these all are interrelated to one another.
• Working alongside BI team, creating relevant SQL queries for fetching right data set for BI team to work with. Helping BI team convert DAX logic to SQL queries to increase reporting efficiency.
• Understanding stakeholder requirements, working alongside third party vendor as a POC to develop Enterprise Data Warehouse to streamline data across multiple source systems and increase granularity for the BI reports, enabling forecasting on the BI reports thus helping management decide various key metrics like which all courses to offer in which universities, class timings for a particular college and a particular student batch, new course offerings based on existing student interest in the currently offered courses etc.
• Using Excel for data reconciliation, data integrity and quality control, also using excel to save time while working with SQL.
• Created POC for ETL using ADF/SSIS to extract data from disparate data sources i.e. Unit-4, Thesis, EventMap and Moodle.

Working as a Tech Consultant providing consultancy on the following Big Data related tasks : Data Collaboration, Data Cataloguing and Data Operations using Atlan as the tool for one of the largest FMCG companies and making sure no SLA is breached along with utmost importance being given to the quality of delivery. In addition, grooming new joiners and freshers and distributing tasks. The team which comprises of 8 members handles data worth 4000 Cr. INR. on a daily basis.
• Monitoring the Data Pipelines(ETL tasks) on a daily basis and Fiscal Days and create new Data Pipelines a per business requirement using Presto SQL.
• Configuring Atlan resources to optimize the pipeline execution and hence the report delivery to business. Understanding the daily data load, prioritizing the business reporting requirements and managing concurrent pipeline execution.
• Provide troubleshooting and RCA of any issues that come up using SQL and Excel.
• Provide Consultancy services to the business to help them with the data reporting on a daily basis.
• Integrating different sets of data for the ease of business’s reporting requirements.
• Help other teammates in their day to day activities and assigning relevant tasks using JIRA as task management system.

Designed business management reporting dashboard(Power BI) for one of the leading US based logistics company :
• Designed, created and enhanced multiple Power BI dashboards around KPIs like no. of issues received, issues resolved, trend forecasting for internal applications.
• Implemented static and dynamic RLS, managed scalability, optimized report distribution, execution and scalability.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for reports, metrics and processes.

Designed multiple Power BI Report pages related to Service Now data for one of the leading US based logistics company:
• Involved in data modelling, data collation, converting excel related formulae and data to rich Power BI visuals for actionable business decisions. Worked on implementing DAX measures and columns based on tabular and static input from SQL and Excel.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for reports, metrics and processes.
• Optimize report distribution, execution and the scalability of all reporting solutions so they are autonomous and dynamic.(BI Platform : Microsoft Power BI)
Involved in Physical Database Design, Data Modelling and/or mapping for a major internal project:
• Actively involved in the physical database design, along with the inputs from the SQL server Developers, SQL Database Administration.
• Learned about Star schema, snowflake schema, Data Cubes(OLAP Cubes), Slowly Changing Dimensions(S.C.D.) namely SCD 1, SCD 2, SCD 3 and SCD 6 along with their relevance in developing Big Data Models, and highly efficient reporting capabilities.

• Creating SSIS packages to efficiently handle data transfer and modifying pre-existing SSIS packages as per application’s requirements.
• Implemented Backend Table Structure Design, Stored Procedures, Views, CTE to perform backend related operations on collated data and further reporting requirement.
