Executive MBA Graduate, seasoned executive and educator with over 25 years of experience teaching math, business and providing support & guidance for college bound students and graduates and military service members. My teaching style is student focused and led while also being collaborative. I try to make a connection with each unique student to understand their learning style, areas where they may need extra help even if it is more self confidence focused versus them undertstand the concepts. I have found that once a student is comfortable and their self confidence improves, the learning and retention of the learning comes much faster.

Experience

  • Math Tutor (Mar, 2023Present) at Sanctuary of Hope Bulverde, Texas
Through individual and group tutoring sessions, I support high school and college students to become independent learners, improve self- confidence and choose and pursue college majors, positions and career paths that will lead to the highest return on investment for each student. These students are unique because they also have a child. For these students, the world they once operated in as a teen doing the average teenage activities has dramatically changed. Each young lady is required to mature faster then their peers outside of SOH. Part of that maturation requires taking their academics and work much more seriously.

functioning classroom, utilized classroom management skill and taught the provided curriculum. My goal was to ensure that the students did not fall behind while the active educator was out and the educator could come back to the least amount of catch up work as possible.
