I like teaching literature to the students who are really passionate about literature and want to learn. My teaching method includes discussions rather than lectures and I believe in inculcating the habit of critical thinking in my students. While working as a teacher, I have always received good feedback which is a great motivation. Teaching literature has been a challenging task these days as majority of the students tend to bypass the text and read summaries. My classes are generally rooted in the text. This, I think, makes me a teacher of literature in the real sense. I am generally looking for students who like literature because that drives me as a teacher to do better and I also get a chance to learn new things and create interesting teaching methods.
