Hello, I am Anne, a piano (Western classical music) teacher. I have completed my music theory and piano practical examinations (all grades up to Grade 8) from Trinity College of Music, London, and have secured Distinction in all my examinations. I would like to utilize my skills, experience, and passion for teaching to train and educate young minds and impart musical knowledge.

I adapt my teaching style based on each student's specific goals and interests. I aim to provide a positive learning environment for my students, so that they can learn music/piano to the best of their ability. Additionally, I want to make students develop a love for music and the piano.

Experience

  • Piano Teacher (Western Classical) (Mar, 2021–Present) at Private piano teacher
    I have an experience in teaching piano via online mode to students of all ages, ranging from beginners to intermediate-level students. Some of my job roles are as follows:
    - Educating students on a one-to-one basis to read music notation and play the piano.
    - Training students with techniques to improve their piano-playing skills.
    - Evaluate and grade students’ performance by conducting regular tests.
    - Communicating with students' parents on a regular basis to provide feedback.
  • Assistant Piano Teacher (Jul, 2015–Jul, 2016) at Private piano teacher
    During this period, I worked as an assistant piano teacher (offline) in guiding students from all age groups to play the piano. Some of my job roles were as follows:
    - Trained students across age groups (teenagers to senior citizens) with techniques to
    improve their piano-playing skills.
    - Guided beginner-level students to read music notation and play the piano.
    - Collaborated with the teacher in conducting interactive group activities for students.
