Hello! I am Sarah and I teach mainly Cambridge's IGCSE First language English and Literature and Year 9 English. I also teach English and English Literature for the EDEXCEL and AQA IGCSE exams.

I am happy to say that in my 13 years of experience nearly all my students have improved their grades with me and quite a number of them have gotten As and A*s for their IGCSE.

For my lessons, I am more academically driven. As the English paper is writing-heavy, I do believe that frequent practice is beneficial. However, it doesn't mean my class is 100% writing! I also have discussions and I love to hear my students opinions and reasonings.

I also work with my students on their weaknesses and build their skills from there. English is after all a rather subjective subject and every student has their own issues in the subject. With effort from you and guidance on my part, I am confident that your English skill will improve.

Fee details

    RM80–200/hour (US$17.98–44.94/hour)

    It depends on the number of students, subject and how close it is to the exams.

    For literature there is a slight extra charge.
