Hello, I am Dr. Komal Bansal, an Assistant Professor at CDOE, Chandigarh University, Punjab. My academic journey includes M.Sc. in Mathematics from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar. Subsequently, I was honoured with the Joint CSIR-UGC Junior Research Fellowship that opened door for me to join Ph.D. I completed my doctoral studies from department of mathematics, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus where my thesis focused on the applications of fractional calculus in mathematical modeling, particularly in sociology, economics, and epidemiology. I have authored numerous research papers in esteemed journals, exploring topics such as crime transmission, the impact of social media on academics, the influence of skill development programs on youth unemployment, malaria transmission dynamics etc. Proficient in MATLAB and LaTeX, my expertise extends to Fractional Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I was honoured to receive the Best Paper Presentation award at AMSE-2022, hosted by Siksha O Anusandan University. I am passionate about connecting math ideas with real-life application that show interdisciplinary nature of my research work.
