As a highly skilled and experienced math tutor with over 10 years of experience, I have been dedicated to providing excellent education to students in grade 9 and above, within the IGCSE and International AS/A level curriculum. I have had the pleasure of teaching students from some of the most prestigious schools, including Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Aditya Birla World Academy, Modern High school for Girls, and Hong Kong International School.
I hold a degree in engineering, with a specialization in Electronics and Communication, and am deeply passionate about mathematics. As a stay-at-home mom with two sons, I discovered my love for teaching math while tutoring my own children. The experience has been extremely fulfilling, as one of my sons is currently pursuing his Masters in Engineering Physics at Cornell, while the other is studying Computer Science and Mathematics at UCLA.
As a teacher, I pride myself on my commitment to my students' success. I believe that an excellent math teacher must have a thorough understanding of the subject matter, combined with excellent communication skills to effectively convey that knowledge to students. I am patient and understanding, recognizing that every student learns at their own pace and in their own way. Therefore, I adapt my teaching style to cater to the individual needs of each student, providing additional explanation or extra practice problems where necessary.
Creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment is of utmost importance to me. I encourage my students to ask questions and participate actively in the learning process, fostering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that allows them to feel confident in their ability to learn and seek help when needed. I also believe in instilling a love of learning and a curiosity about mathematics in my students, empowering them to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
My ultimate goal as a teacher is to make mathematics an enjoyable and rewarding subject for my students. I strive to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their academic and personal pursuits, instilling in them a sense of confidence, curiosity, and passion for learning.
