I always assess first the present ability of my students before the tutorial takes place. I need to know what kind of help I can provide so that my teaching approach will be tailored-fit to the need of the learner. I am a patient tutor and I empathize with the challenges experienced by my students. I understand that not everyone is born with the innate ability to do Math. I also struggled in Math back in high school. It was only in college and after graduation that I get to appreciate its beauty. I also want my students to realize someday that learning Math is not frightening. It is a patient journey, one that I am willing to take with them.
