For me as a teacher it is better to connect with students. When the student are happy at what their doing there is a high possibility of learning, connecting to students meaning talking to them as if they are just talking to a friend but still with respect. Students who are free from pressure from teachers are more likely to be happy at class and have a higher chance of student being excited to come to class. Also, a class should be joyful and energetic for the student not to be bored and lose interest on the lesson. Me as a teacher I love to teach students not only the lessons on class but also teaching them lessons in life that they can use when they encounter the outside world of being a student.
