My name is Sharlon W. Muthoni. I am currently studying for a Bachelor's degree in Arts(Literature) at the University of Nairobi.

Over the years, I have developed a deep love for languages and a great urge to educate people on them. I have discovered that, with constant practice and tests, activities such as reading, writing and speaking a language, become quite easy. I have constantly put these methods to use in previous tutoring sessions and have achieved tremendous results. Through a learner-centred and participative approach, I am able to tailor lessons according to the learners pace. Additionally, providing a learner-friendly environment makes tutoring fun.

I am dedicated not only to language mastery but also to value addition in a person's life and academic journey. I get to know my students and earn their respect, examine the gaps in their knowledge and focus on them, offer explicit instructions and most importantly recognize their efforts.

With years of practice in tutoring, I believe myself absolutely capable of teaching English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu, at all levels.

So far, teaching has been very fulfilling, and I would like to share in this journey with you.

    Tutoring on the Analytical Writing Assessment and Verbal Sections of the Graduate Management Admission Test.

Fee details

    KSh500–800/hour (US$3.88–6.20/hour)

    Content- Fees will depend on the content, depending on the level of the learner.
    Transport- Fees will depend on the distance required to travel to meet the learner. A central position for the tutoring session can also be agreed on instead.
