If am to start teaching,I check my topic outlines and then I make the lesson plan for the lessons that are to be taught with in the following week.
I make the resources for the lesson for example if am to teach jolly phonics book 1,I make the resources for the first sound "a" and integrate it with other things like apple, what is the colour of the apple?,how many apple's are you seeing?, Where do we find the apples?, Who grows apples?, The garden of f apples is called?.The first sound on the word apple is sound?, Children learn by touching and feeling, so I let children to touch, count, tell the number of apples they are seeing, tell the color, tell the first sound on the word apple.So at the end of the lesson, I have integrated my lesson with math(color, count,how many), science(the garden of apples is called,where do we find the apples), literacy( tell the first sound on the word apple).
That is how I teach my friends.Thank you.
