They say that “chanting” helps in the release of endorphins (or happy hormones) in our bodies; which in turn cause a calm and happy state of mind, bust our stress, lower Blood pressure etc. Well… I, believe that shlokas abound in spiritual positive energy and bring about a lot of positive changes in our life; that Shlokas are a way for us to communicate with the divine; that Shlokas are healing and holistic. For children, shlokas have the added benefit of improving concentration, memory, pronunciation and positive thinking.

I strive to spread the joy of chanting all around. With me, you will find deep commitment, descriptive teaching, an adjustable pace, clear and correct pronunciation, individual attention, teaching in both English and Kannada. With children, I've had good success and interaction - to them I don't just teach shlokas. I intersperse the shlokas with stories behind the shlokas, stories of Indian mythology and stories that teach our culture and values and are also enjoyable.

Classes are online, twice weekly and timed conveniently. The following courses are available:

III.) Soundarya Lahiri Chanting: Duration - 4 months

VI.) Shlokas for Children: Duration 3 months. The list of shlokas will be decided after getting a little background on the child.
