I am an experienced and passionate educator with over 15 years of experience across a variety of education platforms.

I have a passion for learning and want to create a fun and engaging environment where all my students thrive. Making learning real and relevant is essential for meaningful learning. I work with the philosophy that a confident student is an achieving student and I aim to build confidence and resilience.

My strenghts include:
interactive online lessons,
assisting students with exam technique,
allowing them to build a solid foundation of basic knowledge and terminolgy and
encouraging an enquiring mind by empowering students in their learning.

    I am an online tutor in the inclusion department focusing of inclusive online tutoring for Y8 - A level students in Biology and Science
  • Senior Teacher (Apr, 2017–Dec, 2022) at Uplands College, White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
    I was employed as a Biology and Natural Science teacher at Uplands. I was responsible for curriculam planning, assessment and moderation across all grades. Played a key role in the digitisation of learning materials and delivering online sessions during the pandemic.
  • Learning and Development Manager (May, 2007–Dec, 2016) at Banking Campus
    I was involved in the learning and development department focusing on development of online material, assessments and portfolio of evidence for school leaving individuals looking to find employement in the banking sector. I worked with the Sectoral Education and Training Authority whose key focus area was to upgrade the skills and competencies of the workforce. We designed and implemented specialised training programs which included assessment design.
