My teaching methodology will try to address the need(s) of the student. Starting from a very basic structure and then moving towards core concepts, events theories and ideas.
1. I will provide materials over email.
2. I'll suggest a reading list.
3. I'll dissect the syllabus and I will suggest readings according to the topics of the current syllabi.
4. I will provide my own typed notes/study materials as and when required.
5. I will also give dictations.
6. I'll engage in class discussions with constant revision, evaluation repeated by re-revision and re-evaluation of the previously discussed topics.
My techniques are often different from conventional processes, as often conventional learning might seem monotonous. I apply innovative techniques to engage students, help students with homework and assignments, as well as I guide students with individual attention. The basic approach of my teaching has been and will be to understand the basic requirements of the individual student that I'm tutoring. Each student has individual aspirations and motivations, as well as understanding of the subject. Thus, I try to understand and approach accordingly i.e., according to the need of that student and then eventually strategize a standard tutoring procedure.
I try to engage in one-to-one conversations with the students and try to identify their positive areas at the same time try working on the other areas which are not so positive, thereby empowering the student to identify his or her strengths and weaknesses, so that those areas are addressed and improved. I am well acquainted with updated techniques of teaching and learning, like class discussions, seminar technique, doubt solving technique, continuous evaluation; all of these are applied during the process of one-to-one teaching and learning while engaging the student.

I am Adit Das Gupta. I am 24 years old and I am from Kolkata. I have completed under graduation with CGPA 7.95 and then postgraduation with CGPA 8.00 in history from Presidency College, Kolkata (now Presidency University, Kolkata). While during my undergrad and postgrad years I actively participated in academic activities, edited a journal and organized seminars. I have scored a record mark of 96/100 in history in my Higher Secondary Exam (+2 level). I have a specific training which empowers me to be able to professionally apply my knowledge of history as per the responsibilities of the job will tend to entail. I am fluent in English. I am a subject matter expert and I am aware of the academic responsibilities that a subject matter expert is required to be perform.
