KarinTranslator Interpreter Teacher
No reviews yet
Hi, My name is Karin, and I am a translator/interpreter/teacher. My native language is French, but I am fluent in English, as I have lived in South Africa for 30 years. I wanted my four children to do more than just understand French, so I kept them in a French International school for 13 years each, and then they pursued their studies at University in English. I can see how being fluent in French (speaking, reading, writing) is helping them. One of my daughters moved to Mauritius where the language is French and my other daughter who is a Dr. in Palaeontology often travels to conferences where she meets French-speaking paleontologists, and she can converse with them. She also spends time in the synchrotron in Grenoble and has no communication problems. Languages are definitely an advantage in life, which is why I want to teach.
