I am a resident doctor, who is very fond of teaching, specifically undergrad med students and residents. I have secured multiple distinctions during my undergrad period and now I aim to clear the concepts of my students, I have interest in teaching ophthalmology and ophthalmic sciences. Teaching is a learning opportunity for me as well and I aim that my students have crystal clear concepts. Having clear concepts in med school is important because you have to apply your theoretical knowledge in clinical practice.
My teaching style involves complete involvement of my students and little questions in the end to further emphasize on the topic, as well as clinical application of theoretical knowledge.
I believe in audiovisual learning and suggest my students to use good and smart resources for studying and retaining concepts. I encourage my students to ask questions and be confident in their answers as well.
I can teach basic clinical skills, pathophysiology of diseases and management, investigations including OCT, biometry, visual fields, B scan, corneal topography, FFA, autoflourescene, research in the field of ophthalmology, how to write a case report, general approach towards patients and how to manage different cases, surgical management of ophthalmic disorders and much more according to requirements of my students.
What I think makes me a great teacher is the way I put forward my knowledge in an understandable way for my students. Ophthalmology is my passion and I would love my students to excel in this field.
