I am Ms. Josephine Ong, 24 years old and currently a teacher in a private school. I teach elementary and secondary students with a subject of Filipino where I teach them how to use the language correctly especially when it comes to communication and how to love their own culture by the help of reading different stories . Teaching for me is a passion and not just a ordinary job. I choose teaching because children has a special place in my heart that I want to teach them different knowledge most importantly the use of each information in the real life situation no matter how hard it is. I believe that regardless of the situation in life, education is very important.

I may categorize myself as a student-centered teacher based on my experience. I just act as the class facilitator; my student will usually provide first about the information they know regarding the topic we need to discuss before I elaborate it for further explanation and correction. In my perspective, teaching and learning will be effective if the teacher will activate the prior knowledge of the students. Through this, they will know what else they need to teach and how to teach something related on the topic. Furthermore, when children are in the center of learning, they will be able to use their mind and thoughts more effectively to exchange information.

    I can teach student in their preferred number of hours but the payment is 100 pesos per hour so if they wanted to have 3 hours of teaching, they will gonna pay me 300 pesos. Also, price charge in tutoring may depend on the conversation we will have.
