These are my qualities as a good teacher—skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience. Other characteristics of effective teaching include an engaging classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices and a lifelong love of learning.

My teaching style is Instructor-focused teaching—the approach to education that involves a central figure guiding the learning experience—is probably the most well-known teaching style. In instructor-focused teaching, one authority figure holds the reins and takes students through the learning material, therefore, can greatly impact a student's ability to learn and comprehend. This is why knowledge of different learning styles is essential for teachers. Children learn more from who you are than what you teach
