--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEACHING METHODS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our teaching methods may vary depending on the topic and subject. At the same time, our core approach centers around the following:
(a) Encouraging & Supportive Learning Environment We provide an environment where your child's abilities can flourish. In our encouraging and supportive setting, they can showcase their talents, develop courage, and embrace vulnerability. We understand that making mistakes is a natural part of learning and we encourage this process as it is how most humans learn and grow (b) Fun Learning We believe in incorporating fun into the learning process whenever possible, making it engaging and enjoyable for students. (c) Relatable Our approach also focuses on relating concepts to real-life scenarios, helping students understand the practical applications of what they learn. We emphasize on logic and reasoning skills, fostering critical thinking abilities.
If you would like to experience our teaching methods, you may sign up for a Trial Class.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRIAL CLASS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During our one-hour trial class, our primary objective is to conduct a thorough assessment of your child's learning needs and preferences. Additionally, this session serves as an opportunity for both your child and you to evaluate whether our tutoring program aligns with your expectations. Here's an overview of what takes place during the trial class:
(i) Assessment of Learning Modality We understand that each child has a unique learning style. We will carefully observe and interact with your child to identify their preferred learning modality. Whether they are visual learners, auditory learners, kinesthetic learners, or a combination thereof, we will tailor our teaching approach to best suit their individual needs.
(ii) Identification of Areas of Improvement Through various activities and exercises, we will assess your child's current knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. By pinpointing specific areas that require improvement, we can focus our attention on addressing those gaps during the subsequent tutoring sessions.
(iii) Introduction to Teaching Techniques During the trial class, we will introduce your child to some of our teaching techniques and methodologies. This will allow them to experience firsthand how we make learning engaging, interactive, and enjoyable. We may incorporate educational games, discussions, or interactive materials to foster active participation and facilitate a positive learning experience.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Children who have attended group tuition classes and feel lost or struggle to keep up with the pace. We provide personalized attention and support to help them bridge any gaps in their understanding.
Children who dislike studying due to strict teaching methods or the use of punishments and embarrassment. We create a nurturing and positive learning environment, fostering a love for learning.
Parents who prioritize the development of positive behaviors in their children. While academic results are important, we believe that having the right behavior and attitude towards learning is equally crucial.
