We shall begin with 'bytes' in C, and 'files' in Linux/Unix, they are the most fundamental concepts to look into. Both of these CS gems have been designed for simplicity, and thats what the denominator of our each lecture shall be.
Learning to code, and learning to create systems like Unix/Linux itself, needs one to have an expertise in representation, expression of problems, environment at hand in terms of computational building blocks. I will try to introduce this to my students.
