Hi everyone,
I am Sindhu. I am a Carnatic music (vocal) teacher. I have completed MPHIL Music in Sree Sankaracharya university of Sanskrit, Kalady. I have worked in schools as a music teacher. I have 5 years of experience.
My way of teaching is simple, but can help students to develop skills and enhance their ability in music. The methodology that I follow is to work according to the students interest rather than teaching set of core curriculum. Because, children know what they want and what they are going to do with music.
I can teach Sholkas, Bhajans, Keerthanam to the kids, so they get to know about the idea of Indian culture along with music. The video recording, practical as well as the theory can be shared to the students once the class is done.
For intermediate students, I can teach basics, varnam, krithi, keerthanam, vocal warm up exercises, idea of variety of tala in Carnatic music.
Art is the expression of all our emotions, and music is the predominant way to express it.
And when it comes to teaching, there is no guru and shishya role. It is all about learning and imparting the knowledge together.
I can communicate in Tamil, Malayalam, and English.
